Dance Jam | Cypher | Bridport Dance Festival

A first for Bridport: a one-hour gathering of superb local and guest dancers. Over 20 dancers will take to the centre of a circle and dance for 3 minutes and improvise thier movements to diffrent pieces of music whilst the supportive audience stand around the circle. 

This style of dance gathering, which originated in hip hop, gained widespread popularity in the 1960s. We will have a few 3-minute slots avaliable for dancers from the public who wish to participate. To ensure we start on time, please arrive early. 

Children must be accompanied by an adult.
