Community and Education Projects

Bridport Arts Centre delivers an extensive programme of community workshops and projects throughout the year to compliment theatre and gallery events. We work with local partners and professional artists to involve people of all ages and backgrounds in the arts, aiming to provide inspiration and enhance the quality of life of people in West Dorset.

Past projects have included:

  • working with West Dorset Youth Service and Inside Out Festival to put on a Youth Music Festival at West Bay
  • a visual arts residency at Greenfields Day Hospital for people with Dementia
  • a week long residency with integrated dance company StopGAP and local schools
  • performance poetry workshops led by Birmingham’s Poet Laureate DreadlockAlien
